Ross Fleming, Associate Professor: Sul Ross State University
Ross is the Scenic/ Lighting Designer/Technical Director for Sul Ross State University. Ross has designed and/or technically directed over 200 shows on the professional, collegiate, and high school levels. He was recently the Scene Design Adjudicator for the 2011 State UIL-OAP Festival in Austin. He has designed shows for several Regional Universities, and continues to work outside of El Paso as a Scene Designer and Technical Director. Ross has recently stepped down from the position of the Chair of the Texas Educational Theatre Assoc.’s DesignFest. In his involvement with KC/ACTF, he has garnered numerous awards for both technical direction and design. Ross has worked with several theatre companies throughout the U.S., including the Alley Theatre, The Milwaukee Rep and the Arizona Theatre Company. Ross has students working as educators and in technical theatre all across the U.S. Some of his favorite shows from recent past have been Of Mice and Men, Doubt, and 3 Musketeers.
